Our Remote Monitoring Service

Our team of Certified Cardiac Device Specialists are based across WA and SA, working closely with local Cardiologists to deliver a dedicated remote monitoring service. Our goal is to provide you with the highest standard of care.

Whether you have a loop recorder, pacemaker, or defibrillator, we offer the reassurance that your device is functioning optimally to support your lifestyle and individual needs. We ensure that any heart rhythm irregularities are identified and managed promptly and efficiently.

Your device data is typically transmitted overnight - either via a bedside monitor or a mobile app - to a secure online platform. From there, our device specialists review the information and provide detailed reports to your Cardiologist for ongoing assessment and care.

Benefits of Remote Monitoring

  • Convenience from home: Your cardiac device can perform routine self-checks without the need to attend a clinic, securely transmitting important device data and clinically significant heart rhythm information for review by your Cardiologist.

  • Early detection of irregularities: With timely access to your device data, your Cardiologist can identify previously unknown or asymptomatic arrhythmias within days of occurrence - helping to reduce the risk of serious complications such as stroke.

  • Continuous device surveillance: Remote monitoring allows ongoing assessment of your device's leads, battery, and circuitry, enabling early identification of potential issues and prompt intervention when required.

  • Optimised device performance: Regular review ensures your device continues to function effectively and is tailored to suit your individual lifestyle and clinical needs.

  • Fewer in-clinic visits: Remote checks can replace some routine face-to-face appointments, reducing the need for travel and saving you time.

  • Improved health outcomes: Research shows that early detection through remote monitoring is associated with better patient outcomes and a lower risk of hospital admission.

"In patients with a cardiac implantable electronic device (CIED), remote monitoring is a powerful tool for assessing patients without requiring an office visit. For patients who are already followed by remote monitoring who have no other active ongoing conditions or drug therapies that require in-person evaluation, healthcare providers should strongly consider replacing routine office visits with a remote visit (video, telephone, remote monitoring of CIED, etc.). For patients who are not currently enrolled in remote monitoring, new enrollment should be considered"

Remote Monitoring can reduce emergency department/urgent in-office visits and, in general, total healthcare use in heart failure patients with modern ICD/CRT-D. Compared with standard follow-up through in-office visits and audible ICD alerts, remote monitoring results in increased efficiency for healthcare providers and improved quality of care for patients.
